One more concern that I have -and this is the biggest one that I have regarding the ENRON ripoff- is that if, while amidst a particularly tricky war, we suddenly start accusing Bush of committing crimes, our enemies will use this to discredit us before the world, and use it against us in propaganda.

Of course not; NO one in the gov't was supposed to be held accoutable for ANYTHING when Comrade Clinton and his butt-ugly wife were squatting in the White House.
You know, it's interesting how the Dept. of Education can squander mhundreds of millions of dollars under the "leadership" of the "Arkansas Two", yet turn around and try to destroy my life over a comaratively scant $56,000.
This iswhat I resent the most from the left: they never have to be held accountable for their graft/corruption/mismanagement, but I -due to circumstances far beyond my control- am being forced to repay this loan which I have no way to repay.
Here is an example of your left-leaning "party of compassion: While in school, I was diagnosed with a Bipolar I Disorder. I was very much out of control prior to the diagnosis. Yet Clinton's gov't, in its infinite wisdom, decided to do away with temporary disability deferments regarding student loans! Considering that I went on SSI and Medicaid (areal wet dream for the left, I'm sure), wouldn't you say that such a move on the gov't's part was kinda boneheaded, if not outright oppressive?

They hate Americans - even you. They hate how we live & the freedoms we enjoy. My husband fed starving children in Somalia & as soon as their bellies were full, they threw rocks at him. Locals who supported them were killed. Their planes came home with bullet holes in them.

What has Iraq done lately? Harbor terrorists, play hide & seek with stashes of weapons, & lie to the United Nations. On March 5, a busload of Jewish children were murdered by a suicide bomber whose family will be paid $25,000 by Saddam Hussein. How many other children have to be blown to bits before you agree that Hussein is a terrorist? Is it easy to ignore because those children were Israel's children & not ours? When it is ours, and it will be eventually, will you then be outraged at Iraq rather than the USA? Will you revenge the lives of your own? In my eyes, Israel's children are our children and we cannot allow them to be butchered. A war will be fought. Personally, I'd rather see it occur in Iraq than here. I still remember September 11 & I don't want to wake up to that kind of news ever again, but I will if you have your way.

This war isn't about oil. Our oil isn't threatened until we strike Iraq. Saddam Hussein is evil. He pays others to kill children. He has his own people killed. He had his own son shot. We've given Saddam Hussein 12 years to comply yet he continues to thumb his nose at us because people like you make all Americans look like idiots. Every time Americans protest their own government, it decreases our credibility.

War isn't perfect but sometimes it's the only way to defend a country, a way of life, & yes, even your freedom to speak against your own government.

Can you imagine what it would have been like if we had had a Democrat in office on September 11, 2001? We'd all be riding camels by now.

Saying that we shouldn't have invaded just because we THOUGHT Saddam currently had WMD's (and not knew for sure) is like saying that if you know someone has murdered someone else in the past (yes, Saddam used weapons of mass destruction in the past...remember when he gassed HIS OWN PEOPLE?), but you don't know if they have recently, you should just wait until they do kill someone. So, yeah, let's wait until he does. We KNOW that he wanted to re-start his WMD program, and that he met with terrorist groups, such as Al-Qaeda, on a regular basis. Just because he never met with Osama bin Laden doesn't mean he didn't meet with any member of Al-Qaeda. Hell, why not wait until he invades another country, like Kuwait? Why not let him control even MORE oil than he already does, so he can play the UN's "oil for food" program to an even greater extent. He did this by lining the pockets of corrupt individuals in the UN (yes, even the Holy United Nations has corruption in it, imagine that). The UN has lost all of its credibility. The UN has sat by as millions have been slaughtered in places such as Bosnia, Rwanda, Congo, and Defar. Remember that whole episode of the Kurds getting slaughtered due to ETHNIC CLEANSING in Eastern Europe in the 90's? John Kerry complained about the US trying to prevent the ethnic cleansing of the Kurds. It's good to know that he doesn't think the US should use force in the case of ethnic cleansing. Guess who also said Saddam had weapons of mass destruction...twice? Think now, this is a hard one...

He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ..."
John Kerry and others have blamed Bush for rising oil prices and for America's dependence on foreign oil...when they oppose drilling on our own land. We have got enough oil in Alaska to sustain us for years. The places that would be drilled if the environmentalists would give us a chance would be open fields. Not forests. Open fields. Long live the porcupine caribou! And the thing is...the majority of Alaskans WANT us to drill in their state. They are as tired of high oil prices as we are.
John Kerry's voting record is atrocious. He voted to SLASH INTELLIGENCE BY 6 BILLION after the bombing of the World Trade Center in the early 90's. He also voted against the ban on partial-birth abortion. And he says Bush has no record to go by?
Earlier in 2004, at Radio City there was an anti-Bush banquet, in which many well-known celebrities went onstage and used profanity and crude sexual humor. Whoopi Goldberg went onstage with a wine bottle and made several references to Bush and her vagina. Trust me Whoopi, no one wants your rancid vagina. John Kerry called this a "true showing of American spirit." Wow. People urged him to release a video or at least a tape of this, but he didn't. Hmm...

What this all comes down to is that liberals are stuck in a "blame America first" sense of mind. Michael Moore has on his website a collage of George W. Bush, with fallen American soldiers in the little squares. Yes, Michael, it's Bush's fault- not Saddam's. Remember, this is the same guy that asked a congressman if he had a son or daughter in the army, to which the congressman replied, "Yes, I do," but good ol' Michael Moore conveniently edited that response out. Coward. Michael Moore isn't the only one. If the American people want to see an America united as a reality, this kind of shameless slander has got to stop.
